PZP

The waiting time is: 58 weken
Due to budget agreements with certain insurers, a longer waiting time is applicable compared to the standard waiting time per location. The amount of patients ADHDcentraal can offer treatment per year differs per health insurer. Naturally we strive to make suitable agreements with all health insurers, but in practice the budget agreements can result in not every patient being treated within the foreseeable future. This results in different waiting times per insurer.
Waiting list mediation
When you think the waiting time for diagnostics is too long, you can always contact your health insurer and request waiting list mediation. In principle, your health insurer must ensure that you have an intake within 4 weeks from your first contact with a healthcare provider, and that you can start treatment within 10 weeks after the intake. These are the maximum acceptable waiting times which have been agreed on by health providers and health insurers (the Treeknorm).

What can I do to shorten the waiting time?

It is possible under certain conditions to choose a different location where the waiting time is shorter than the location closest to you. This possibility will be discussed with you and it will then apply to both the diagnostics and the treatment. You have to visit the chosen location once for the diagnosis day. If desired, the treatment can then take place online via video calling, to save you travel time and costs. Please note: choosing a different location will only be useful for you if you are not insured with one of the health insurers for which a longer waiting time applies due to budget agreements. These longer waiting times apply to all locations.
Can I - if I have to wait longer due to the limited budget of my health insurer - shorten the waiting time by paying for treatment myself?
Unfortunately this is not possible. The contractual agreements with the health insurers do not allow this.
Can I also get treatment at a location further away from me?

I find my waiting time unacceptable. Can I file a complaint?
We understand that it is very unfortunate that the waiting times for certain health insurers are long. We advise you to contact your health insurer to discuss the possibility of waiting time mediation.
If you are not satisfied after this, you can file a complaint with your health insurer. In addition, at SKGZ you can finde more information about your possibilities and if desired file a complaint regarding the waiting time.
Can you guarantee the stated waiting times?
Unfortunately we cannot guarantee this and this is an estimate. This is due to multiple factors:
- We have no insight into any contract extensions from various health insurers nor any contract changes before 2024.
- We do not know how many of the people currently on the waiting list are in need of our care in the future, as they might have found care elsewhere through waiting list mediation.
- As of January first, everyone has the option to change health insurer, which means that the waiting lists may change per health insurer.
