Step 1 Referral by primary care physician or directionalmental health practitioner.
We would like to receive a referral letter from your primary care physician or directional mental health practitioner.

Step 2 Receipt of referral letter by ADHDcentral
The referral letter can be sent securely via Zorgdomein, for example. Important is, that the referrer refers to óns ‘ADHDcentraal’, and there is specific reference to the specialist mental health care.

Step 3 Waiting time

Once it’s your turn, we will contact you and an appointment can be scheduled.

Explanation of steps Diagnostic Day

Step 1: Reception and registration.
Once you arrive at the location, please check in with our location assistant and complete registration together. Please bring your ID proof and proof of insurance.

Step 2: Intake interview with nursing specialist
During the intake interview, the nurse specialist will ask about the symptoms you have and how they interfere with your functioning.

Step 3: QbTest
You take a computer-based test that measures some of the characteristics of ADHD.

Step 4: Diagnostic interview by psychologist
In the consultation with the psychologist, you will look at the symptoms of ADHD. At this talk, you can bring a family member so you can look at the symptoms of ADHD in childhood.

Step 5: If applicable a psychiatric examination by psychiatrist follows
If applicable, during the psychiatric examination by the psychiatrist, any additional symptoms are also considered.

Step 6: Interview with psychiatrist and nursing specialist
We discuss the results of all examinations and interviews with you.

Step 7: If applicable and desired, a one-time effect measurement with medication is possible on site. If you agree to the effect measurement, you will take medication on site, then take the computerized test again. You will discuss your perceived effects and the results of the computerized test with the nurse specialist.

Step 1: Setting up treatment plan.
Together with the practitioner, you will draw up a treatment plan.

Step 2: Start treatment
Treatment can consist of a number of components. Depending on the complaints, the personal request for help and your own goals. On average, a treatment takes several months.

Step 3: Evaluation/End of treatment
During treatment, progress is evaluated with you regularly. Both in the treatment contact itself and through questionnaires. At the end of the treatment a feedback to the referrer takes place. Even after treatment, you can still access your eHealth environment. This way, if necessary, you have tools to continue on your own.
